Glacier National Park's Lake McDonald, Montana, U.S. (3)

Glacier National Park in northern Montana is one of our favorite places. Our home is 80 miles (120 Km) south of the park; as you might imagine, we spend time there often. These are images of Lake McDonald, located in the park's southwest corner. This is the largest lake in the park. It is the source of endless fascination for us; the lighting, color, and weather conditions can change dramatically in a matter of minutes. These photos were made over a period of several years, and were all taken from within a few feet of the same spot on the lake's southern tip.

We have a gallery of other images from Glacier.
