Birds of Freezout Lake (2)

Each spring hundreds of thousands of snow geese, tens of thousands of tundra swans, and large numbers of other migratory birds arrive in Freezout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana. The birds will rest and refuel for a few days in the surrounding barley fields before moving on to their breeding areas in the arctic. The activity on the lakes is truly one of nature's spectacles.

We have many more photos of birds from other locations. You'll find links to those pages on our Galleries page.
