Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, Wyoming

The pictures here were made during an August, 2024 multi-day backpacking trip into the above-named wilderness. The hike started at the Island Lake trailhead in Wyoming. We camped at a series of lakes as we headed north into Montana before taking a somewhat different return route back to the trailhead. These photos were made with a cell phone camera and then processed to extract the best possible quality from the files. One does what one can.

We have photos of Island Lake from an earlier car-camping trip, when we stayed in the Forest Service campground and did some day hiking with better photo gear.
